Keeping Families Together
Princess Gardens offers an array of stimulating programs to meet your social, cultural, and recreational needs. As with all of our services, our full-time Activity Directors will tailor a plan according to your lifestyle. Enjoy many opportunities to become involved or as much privacy as you want. You choose how you want to live.
We organize activities to complement your current interests and to help you discover new ones. Our philosophy of caring for the “whole” individual means that we encourage participation and social interaction. Our exercise and activation programs are designed to increase mobility and independence. And we offer a full range of group and individual programs designed to enhance your intellectual, spiritual and social involvement.
We believe in enriching and revitalizing the lives of our residents. Our residents never run out of activities and opportunities for enjoyment and stimulation. We have regular excursions on our air-conditioned shuttle to exciting destinations, including regular shopping expeditions. For intellectual stimulation, we host workshops and seminars by guest speakers on a variety of topics. Concerts, movie nights, and live entertainment are all common events at Princess Gardens. For spiritual enrichment, our non-denominational chapels host regular services, conducted by local clergy. Or, if you prefer, we offer regular transportation to local places of worship.
Family comes First! We encourage family participation in all of our events. Whether for a special Mother’s Day tea with visiting entertainment or for a simple bridge night or group stroll beside the river, families are always invited to be a part of our community. Grandchildren are especially welcome. We specifically plan for events to bring families together. A monthly newsletter and calendar of events keep residents and their families up to date on all events and activities. You can also follow us on Facebook.
Something for Everyone
Our Activity Director plans an active, busy calendar, full of variety and with something of interest for everyone. Monthly Special Events add a special flavour and energy to our community. Monte Carlo night, “Senior Prom” dances, birthday parties, and Celebrity and Art Auctions are just a few examples.
Our regular recreational activities include such things such as walking along the river, bus trips, hobbies & crafts, gardening club, card games, social hour, woodworking, swim outings and shopping. In the summer we move outdoors to enjoy weekly barbecues and social hours on the patio. Whatever hobbies or interests you’ve been postponing, you can start them now.
At Princess Gardens you will meet lots of new friends and add many new experiences to your life. Or, if you prefer, you may choose to simply enjoy your own individual interests in one of our lovely lounge areas or in the privacy of your suite. It’s your choice.
